April:
Upper river warming up with fresh, naive fish on the feed! Valley greening and waking up from the winter.... AH... Spring in the Rockies! Time to get rid of the winter rust and take advantage of our early season deals.

May: River prime just before run-off. One of our BIG Fish months! Call for reports on timing of the run-off. If booking a trip and the river gets blown out we'll call to alert you and return all deposits.... no worries!

June: By Mid Month water dropping, warming and clearing from run-off. Caddis really rocking with fish looking for the BIG BUGS on the upper reaches of the river... along with September some of our favorite fishing and weather periods.

July: Often our best month of the year, bugs everywhere! Towards the end of the month as it warms up we'll concentrate on the early, early mornings and leave the heat of the afternoons for napping!

August: Tricos in full swing, bluewings starting to show later in the month. With the dog days of summer it's time to take advantage of our ¾ day trips and fish the best time of the day….. early, early, early! relax in the pm while waiting for the evening rise.

September: All go on all of our water! Traditionally the best weather and fishng of the year…. Excellent dry fly and terrestrial fishing with crisp mornings and beautiful days.

October: The first two weeks carry on from September….. excellent fishing and weather. Fish hard on the feed in preparation of winter… the time to sight fish the canyon water or Big Territorial Browns! We close about mid way through the month…. Your guide needs a rest and it's getting cold! …. Time for ducks and geese! See you in April!!
